This picture is very special to me. In July 2024, I was flying from BOS to SDQ with a 3-hour layover at
JFK. This picture serves as a reminder that no matter where I am, beauty is always there—it’s just a
matter of patience. It’s about whether you choose to see it or not. It’s a mindset. It’s a lifestyle.
Typically, wildlife photos are taken from a distance since animals tend to flee when people get too
close. I didn’t have the right equipment to shoot from far away, which makes this picture even more
special. It took me two hours of patience and creativity—as I sacrificed my delicious pretzel—before
this little pajarito finally let me get close enough to capture the unique beauty that only pajaritos can
have.

Esta foto es muy especial para mí. En julio de 2024, estaba viajando de BOS a SDQ con una escala
de 3 horas en JFK. Esta imagen me recuerda que, sin importar dónde esté, la belleza siempre está
presente; solo es cuestión de paciencia. Se trata de decidir si quieres verla o no. Es una mentalidad.
Es un estilo de vida.
Normalmente, las fotos de vida silvestre se toman desde lejos, ya que los animales tienden a huir
cuando las personas se acercan demasiado. No tenía el equipo adecuado para fotografiar desde la
distancia, lo que hace que esta imagen sea aún más especial. Me tomó dos horas de paciencia y
creatividad—mientras sacrificaba mi divino pretzel—antes de que este pequeño pajarito finalmente
me dejara acercarme lo suficiente para capturar la belleza única que solo los pajaritos pueden tener.
